We are currently in need of an experienced Automotive F&I Manager who is seeking a big paycheck. If you're willing to go the extra mile in learning and working to be the best, Ocean Honda is the dealership for you.

POSITION INFORMATION:
The Finance & Insurance Manager is responsible for producing additional revenue for the dealership by selling finance and insurance programs to new and used vehicle clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sell financing products, GAP insurance, service contracts, etc. 
Establish and maintain good working relationships with several finance sources, factory and otherwise.
Submit paperwork to and obtain approval from finance sources on all finance deals.
Set up and maintain an adequate program, which will ensure a 100-percent turnover ratio to the F&I department.
Provide incentives for salespeople to sell finance and insurance in accordance with dealership policies.
Instruct salespeople in the methods of selling financing.
Work with Sales Managers to secure a reasonable profit from every sale.
Set up finance forecasting in conjunction with sales department forecasting to achieve a desired percent of penetration and income.
Attend managers' meetings. 
Seek insurance companies for insurance paper.
Maintain insurance files.
Acquire licenses for selling insurance.
Maintain a Daily Operating Control.
Prepare monthly penetration reports and share with the Dealer.
Check all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, etc.
Handle all rate quotations.
Carry responsibility for finance and insurance fees and their collection.
Establish and meet monthly objectives.
Have a true commitment to satisfying and retaining clients.

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

Auto dealership experience. F&I experience. Honda experience preffered. High school diploma or above. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Degree or commensurate experience in finance. Knowledge of dealership finance and insurance procedures. Computer knowledge preferred. Professional personal appearance. Excellent communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Will work at a desk in an office setting. Will work with a Video Display Terminal for most of the shift.  Will be trained in the use of applicable dealership computer systems.  May be required to leave the dealership occasionally to contact finance sources.

TITLE:        New & Used-vehicle Lot Porter

REPORTS TO:    New & Used-vehicle Managers

POSITION INFORMATION:

The Used-vehicle Lot Porter moves and cleans vehicles, keeps the used vehicles in sound working condition, and helps the used-vehicle manager as requested.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-    Clean interior and exterior of used vehicles, including the trunks and glove compartments.
-    Repair and change tires.
-    Keep used-vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the used-vehicle manager and in accordance with dealership display standards.
-    Clean and change spark plugs.
-    Replace windshield wiper blades and arms.
-    Replenish fluids for battery, radiator, crankcase, transmission, and brakes.
-    Pick up vehicles from and deliver vehicles to clients.
-    Replace batteries in used vehicles.
-    Clean new vehicles.
-    Pick up parts from parts department.
-    Receive New Vehicle deliveries ensuring proper condition and equipment, alerting New Vehicle Sales Manager of any damage or discrepancies.
-    Have a true commitment to satisfying and retaining clients

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.  One year of experience as an automotive helper.  Valid driver's license and a good driving record.  Neat appearance.  Good judgment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is a physically demanding position.  The Used-vehicle Lot Porter will stand six to eight hours per day.  S/he will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds several times during a shift.  Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel.  Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

The Vehicle Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-    Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area.
-    Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
-    Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
-    Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
-    Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the client. 
-    Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
-    Advise service consultant immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
-    Document work performed and utilize separate time punches per operation.
-    Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, keeping in mind that client vehicles should not be used for personal errands.
-    Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
-    Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
-    Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
-    Ensure that clients' cars are kept clean.
-    Maintain shop area neat and clean throughout the workday, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
-    Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
-    Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
-    Maintain ASE and Factory certifications for work performed.
-    Have a true commitment to satisfying and retaining clients

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or the equivalent.  Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.  ASE certification preferred.  General mechanical skills.  Valid driver's license and a good driving record.  Manual dexterity.  Good judgment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Technician will stand six to eight hours per shift, lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds several times during each shift, and use hoist and test equipment as needed.  S/he will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel.  S/he will use hand and power tools.  S/he will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.  Road testing of vehicles may be required.  The Technician will be required to wear a dealership uniform at all times.

Parts Counter Person

TITLE:            Parts Counter Person

REPORTS TO:        Parts Manager

POSITION INFORMATION:
The Parts Counter Person sells, at retail, parts to all available clients, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific to the Front Counter:
-    Assist walk-in clients in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure that the client is exposed to the full product line.
-    Pull purchased parts from stock.
-    If the part is not in stock, determine availability and submit an emergency order if requested by the client, following company-pricing guidelines.
-    Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
-    Assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
-    Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
-    Verify ''will call'' and ''back-order'' files weekly and return to vendors, or stock those items not required.
-    Solicit assigned accounts by phone.

Specific to the Rear Counter:
-    Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in process.
-    Open a repair order envelope for all new repair orders.
-    Order parts not in stock if, after discussion with Shop Foreman, it is determined that parts are needed and will be used upon receipt or that the client will return for the required repairs.
-    Notify the Shop Foreman and the client that ordered parts have been received. 
-    Answer parts phones when front counter is overloaded.
-    Act as primary phone operator at night.
-    Ensure that before parts can be charged out, the Technician presents a duplicate copy of the repair order and a parts requisition.  File the requisition copy in the repair order envelope.

All Counter People:
-    Be friendly, professional and efficient when working with all clients, both on the phone and in person. 
-    Provide the same high level of service to the other dealership departments as is given to other clients.
-    Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified. The Parts Manager or Secretary-Treasurer must approve exceptions.
-    Ensure the clients sign all charge sales slips.
-    When making tax-exempt sales other than to a charge or cash account, ensure that the client's full name, address, ICC number, and signature is obtained.
-    Present the client with the white copy of the invoice after removing the ''tear strip.''
-    When doing business with regular cash clients, ensure that their ''cash account'' numbers are recorded to assure proper client tracking. 
-    When a credit card is declined, notify the credit department.  If they are not available, either decline to charge the purchase or release the credit hold in accordance with the dealership's guidelines.
-    Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
-    Replenish assigned inventory daily.
-    Advise Parts Manager when areas of the department are not in satisfactory condition.
-    Keep current on new products and product updates.
-    Participate in all training programs that are made available.
-    Participate with the Parts Manager in maintaining a Lost Sale Tracking program.
-    If clients pay by invoice, obtain the following information:  Form of payment (if by check, include the check number), amount of payment, received by (your name), date, and any change given.
-    Clean computer terminals and printers daily.


QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or the equivalent.  Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.  One year of experience in an automotive parts department.  One year of sales experience.  Professional personal appearance.  Ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several clients at a time.  Will be required to wear a dealership-provided uniform.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is a physically demanding position.  Will move throughout the parts shelves all day, reaching and climbing to obtain parts from inventory.  Will stand six to eight hours during a shift at the client counter, of which the surface is 44 inches from the floor.  When delivering parts to the service department and body shop, will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
